Norwich City's Shirt Sponsorship is being taken over by BK8 Sports
Originally, Dafabet was the English Premier League football club’s partner. Instead, Norwich City has replaced them with BK8 Sports, an Asian betting operator.
The new partnership will last for the entire 2021-2022 season.
BK8 Sports’ logo will be featured prominently on the team’s shirts as well as training kits. The partnership is more than just a sponsoring deal, though. BK8 Sports will provide an array of activities for fans and supporters on behalf of Norwich City.
BK8 Sports is a better candidate for partnership than most would assume.
Ben Kensell, the Chief Operating Officer of Norwich City, stated that the Premier League has over 3 billion viewers worldwide. A very large portion of those viewers live in Asia. Because BK8 Sports is such a trusted name across the Asian continent and a large portion of viewers live there, it only makes sense to make them a principal partner.
BK8 Sports allows Norwich City to expand its commercial efforts and exposure in markets outside of the UK. Former player, Darren Eadie, joins BK8 Sports as a spokesperson. Using Eadie will help the brand and the team with engagement and support.
Dafabet served as Norwich City’s sponsor since 2019.
For two seasons, Dafabet’s branding appeared on the team’s shirts. At the finale of that sponsorship deal, Norwich City announced their new partner for the upcoming season.
Norwich City has praised Dafabet during their two-season run, stating their contribution has been crucial to the team’s success.
Dafabet’s Chief Executive, Dimitris Karatzas, has also praised the team. In a statement, he is quoted saying, “…I am pleased to see the club returning where it belongs, the Premier League.”
